Hello! My name is Sebastian. I’m a longtime Pokemon fan and a new-time VGC competitor. After a long hiatus from Pokemon, I recently picked up the games again after learning about the Pokemon Ribbon Master challenge. This reintroduction got me watching YouTube videos from Wolfe Glick, Aaron “Cybertron” Zheng, and James Baek; and eventually led me to decide I wanted to try competing myself and accomplish something I had dreamed of as a kid.
This blog is intended to serve as a self-reflection on my growth and improvement as my journey progresses. I write for my own benefit but thought the new-to-VGC perspective could be valuable to others in the future. Upon writing this intro, I’m unsure exactly what the blog will look like, and I imagine this intro will be revised over time, but my initial intent is to develop my ability to reflect post-match so I anticipate most posts will be in that vein starting out.
